Ginger Lynn.

Ginger Lynn se convirtió en los ochenta en una actriz de culto del cine X.
Su infancia no fue nada fácil, nació en un hogar desestructurado, su padre se marchó cuando ella sólo tenía seis años y su madre la maltrataba y desatendía, hasta el punto en que con doce años, y tras un intento de suicidio, pasó tres días en estado catatónico, sin que nadie hiciera nada por ella. La situación fue tal que los abuelos tuvieron que hacerse cargo de su nieta.
Tras graduarse, en 1981 Rockford West High School (Illinois) se marchó de casa de sus abuelos para irse a vivir sola. Durante un tiempo estuvo trabajando de día en una tienda de discos y de noche como camarera. Un año después, su abuelo, que se había mudado a California, cayó gravemente enfermo y ella viajó hasta allí para estar a su lado antes de que muriese.
Estuvo viviendo en un remolque, en uno de los peores lugares de California durante casi un año, hasta que decidió llamar a un anuncio de una agencia que buscaba modelos. Consiguió el empleo y el mismo día recibió una oferta para posar desnuda en la revista Penthouse.
Lo siguiente fue trabajar para la industria del cine porno, donde pronto se convirtió en todo un mito tras conseguir hacer nada menos que sesenta y nueve películas en sólo dos años (entre 1983 y 1985), trabajando con nombres tan conocidos dentro del mundillo como Traci Lords, John Holmes, o el director Gregory Hippolyte.

Embriagada por la fama, en 1986 abandonó el negocio del porno con la esperanza de convertirse en una actriz seria y empezar a hacer otro tipo de películas, pero sólo consiguió papeles en unos veinte títulos de serie B, como “Wild Man” o “Vice Academy”. También protagonizó “Bound and gagged: a love story” (1992) y “Ultimate taboo” (1995), e intervino en “Puta” (1991), “The stranger” (1995) y “The last late night” (1999). Asimismo protagonizó el video musical “Turn the Page” (1998), de Metallica.
Ginger Lynn tuvo algunos problemas con la justicia, en 1991 fue detenida por evasión de impuestos y pasó un tiempo en la cárcel. También estuvo un tiempo en un centro de rehabilitación para librarse de su adicción a la cocaína. Por esa época se supo de su romance con el actor Charlie Sheen, a quien conoció mientras trabajaba en “Arma joven II” (1990).
En 1999 volvió al cine X con la película “Torn” pero volvió a retirarse por segunda vez en 2002.
Actualmente vive en California y tiene un hijo, Sterling, nacido en 1996.
